The design

Vintage-style beige tropical botanicals over a dark geometric ground of blacks and browns, light petals against patterned shadow for a layered retro island mood. The pale botanicals come forward and the dark geometry drops back, layering the wall like foliage in front of a shadowed screen. Daylight reveals the pattern beneath the pattern, while evening flattens everything into silhouette and mood. The beige stays warm whatever the lamps are doing, evening or noon.

Style notes
