The trick with kids wallpaper is choosing something a four year old loves that a nine year old will not be embarrassed by. These designs aim for that middle ground: hot air balloons, small animals, stars and gentle repeating motifs in soft, unsaturated color rather than primary brights.

Peel and stick is the obvious choice for a nursery or playroom since it comes down cleanly when tastes change. Traditional papers are available too. Panels are 24 inches wide, from 3ft to 12ft tall.
