Denim Ogee is a seventies ogee wallpaper in navy, slate and ice blue with a near black outline, teardrop waves stacked into cool interlocking columns. It has the rhythm of the orange original with the temperature turned right down.
The design
Each ogee swells from an ice blue centre through slate and denim to a deep navy edge, and the columns lock together so the pattern rolls up the wall like water. A faint grain in the ground gives the flat colours the look of an old paper stock. Daylight keeps it crisp and blue. Lamplight softens the navy to ink and lets the ice blue glow.
Works best in
Studies, mudrooms, reading nooks and sunrooms. Blue ogee columns make a work room feel steady and awake at the same time.
Style notes
Walnut or teak, brushed nickel or chrome, and a rug in cream or camel. Tan leather is the pairing to try, and so is a mustard cushion. A white desk lamp reads clean against the navy. Keep the trim cream so the blues stay warm.
