Nineteen-seventy-something, remembered fondly and edited well. Earthen Mod layers vintage geometric motifs in terracotta, beige, and cream: a warm, muted take on retro that leans cozy rather than kitsch. All of the decade's confidence, none of its shag carpet.

The design

Vintage-style geometric motifs layered in earthy terracotta, beige, and cream. Warm 70s character carried in a soft, cohesive palette. The terracotta advances while the cream retreats, giving the geometry a gentle push and pull that keeps the wall warm and mobile. Beige does the diplomacy between the two. Softened contrast means it reads cohesive across the room and reveals its vintage layering up close.

Living rooms, bedrooms, entryways, and powder rooms nostalgic for a decade they may never have met.

Style notes

Seventies nostalgia with the benefit of hindsight. It sits easily beside teak, cream boucle, olive or ochre accents, and ceramics with hand-thrown charm. A living room goes golden-hour cozy at any time of day, while the entryway sets an unhurried tone the rest of the house has to honor. The decade called, and for once it left a nice message.
