The design

Concentric rectangles set in muted gray on an off white ground, with an easy, imperfect line. Quietly retro, thoroughly neutral. The low contrast lets the rectangles read as shading first and shape second, so the wall stays soft even at a glance. Each rectangle keeps a slightly wobbly edge, which is where the warmth hides. Bright rooms sharpen the graphite effect, while dim ones let it fade toward plain, well mannered gray.
