Retro doesn't always arrive in orange. Grayscale Mod runs its groovy rectangles in soft gray over off-white, keeping the mid-century bones and trading the loud palette for something closer to a pencil sketch: pattern you notice on the second visit, then miss everywhere else.

The design

Concentric rectangles sketched in muted gray on an off-white ground, medium scale with an easy, imperfect line. Quietly retro, thoroughly neutral. The low contrast lets the rectangles read as shading first and shape second, so the wall stays soft even at a glance. Each rectangle keeps a slightly imperfect hand, which is where the warmth hides. Bright rooms sharpen the pencil-sketch effect, while dim ones let it fade toward plain, well-mannered grey.

Style notes
