Honey Cane is a rattan look wallpaper in honey on cream, the open eight sided weave of cane webbing stretched across a whole wall. It brings the breezy lightness of a cane chair to a room without the squeak.

The design

Thin strands of honey cane cross at angles to form small octagonal openings, each one showing the cream ground behind it, and the strands carry a faint shine like real polished rattan. From across the room the wall reads as a warm cream with a gentle grid. Up close the weave is intricate and precise. Sunlight makes the honey glow.

Works best in

Sunrooms, dining rooms, window seats and banquettes. It suits a room with plants, white paint and a view.

Style notes

White oak, more rattan and brushed brass are the easy partners. Trim in a warm white keeps the weave light, while a dark green trim makes the room feel like a conservatory. Add linen, a jute rug and a ceramic lamp in sage. It plays well with stripes and badly with anything shiny.

Order with confidence

Honey Cane is an original WALLPLICITY design, built as a seamless repeat so the weave runs unbroken across the wall, in peel and stick or traditional wallpaper. Samples available.
