Dip a brush in ink, press, repeat: the oldest mark-making there is, marching down the wall in tidy columns. Ink Drops turns soft black and gray watercolor circles into instant gallery rhythm. Modern, calm, and far more interesting than two tones have any right to be.
The design
Vertical rows of inky watercolor circles in soft blacks and grays on a light ground. Hand-painted edges keep the grid human; the neutral palette keeps it versatile. The circles darken and lighten unpredictably down each row, which is where the maker's hand stays visible. From afar the columns organize the wall like quiet punctuation, and near to, each drop holds its own small weather. The light ground keeps the whole arrangement airy however dark the ink runs.

Style notes
Brush-and-ink minimalism with gallery instincts and none of the fuss. It cooperates with ash, concrete, black metal, and shelving that holds actual books.
