Lagoon Circlet pairs cream circles with a clear lagoon teal, a mid century geometric wallpaper with the freshness of a motel pool at seven in the morning. It is the coolest of the Circlet colourways and the easiest to live with.
The design
The rings overlap in a strict grid, and the teal fills every gap with the same clean weight, so the wall reads calm even though the geometry is busy. Look closely and the cream circles carry a faint chalkiness, a touch of vintage paper rather than plastic. In daylight the teal sparkles. In the evening it goes deep and quiet.
Works best in
Breakfast banquettes, sunrooms, studies and a bathroom with white fixtures. Teal and cream take strong daylight without ever looking washed out.
Style notes
White or pale oak cabinetry, chrome or polished nickel, and a floor in warm terrazzo or plain cream tile. Coral or tangerine cushions are the obvious move and they are the right one. A bentwood chair or two settles the reference. Avoid grey, it drains the teal.
