The Wild West, after dark. Outlaw is a funky western skull wallpaper that hangs detailed longhorn, ram, deer, and moose skulls between diagonal strands of barbed wire on a deep black ground: rustic, high-contrast, and unrepentant. It is not for every room, which is exactly what its rooms like about it.
The design
Animal skulls set between diagonal barbed-wire strands on deep black. Bold linework, high contrast, full frontier commitment. The pale skulls carry all the light, surfacing from the black ground like trophies. The diagonal wire lines keep the eye moving, which turns a heavy motif into an oddly steady rhythm. From a distance it reads nearly as geometry, and the frontier detail lands on approach.
Works best in
Cabin living rooms, ranch entries, game rooms, bar corners, and powder rooms that check IDs.
Style notes
Western iconography played straight, closer to tattoo flash than farmhouse decor. It calls for worn leather, dark denim blues, iron, and wood with some scars. Low amber light suits it, and a single bare bulb suits it even better. A bar corner gains a code of conduct, and a game room gets a house style with opinions. Hang it where the timid were not headed anyway.
