Grandmother's kitchen, edited by someone with a very good eye. Retro Posy gathers yellow, coral, and red blossoms into loose bouquets on a softly distressed neutral ground: vintage warmth without the mothballs. Nostalgia works best when it is this carefully pruned.

The design

Bouquets of yellow, coral, and red blooms with leafy vines on a gently distressed neutral ground: a vintage floral with faded, timeworn charm. The reds and corals come forward while the timeworn ground gently mutes them, like flowers seen through a sunlit curtain. At a distance the wall carries a faded, lived-in warmth, and up close the vines and leaves reveal careful drawing. Evening light mellows the palette into something close to memory.

Works best in

Bedrooms, dining rooms, cottage kitchens, and guest rooms that believe in fresh-cut flowers.

Style notes

Cottage nostalgia, curated rather than inherited. Pine and painted furniture, enamelware, gingham, and unfussy brass all feel like family here.
