Tile envy is real, and Sea Glass is the cure that skips the grout. Hand-tinted watercolor hexagons in soft spa blues line up across the wall with gentle variation, so the effect is orderly at a glance and quietly handmade the closer you get.

The design

Watercolor hexagon tiles in layered spa blues, with hand-tinted variation from piece to piece. Geometric structure, softened finish. The deeper blue tiles press forward and the paler ones dissolve back, giving the grid the shifting quality of water over stone. At a distance the wall reads as one cool, even wash. Up close the hand-tinting shows, and no two neighbors quite agree, in the pleasant way.

Style notes

Spa geometry with a beachcomber's palette. White cabinetry, marble or limestone, chrome and glass, and towels in foam green keep the mood cool and clean. Bright white trim completes the rinse, and a striped cotton bath mat would not hurt. A bathroom does most of the relaxing for you here, and a mudroom turns coming home briefly Mediterranean.
