Sunset Ogee is a seventies ogee wallpaper in rust, peach and cream with a chocolate outline, the same teardrop waves as its siblings in a softer, sun faded palette. It looks like a summer evening in a decade of good music.
The design
The ogees stack in interlocking columns, each built from bands of cream, peach, rust and brown, and the palette runs warm from centre to edge. A subtle grain in the ground keeps the flat colours from looking plastic. In daylight the peach dominates and the room feels light. In lamplight the rust takes over and the room feels like a den.
Works best in
Living rooms, kitchens, libraries and media rooms. A warm ogee makes a big wall feel furnished before the furniture arrives.
Style notes
Teak and walnut, brushed brass, cream boucle and cognac leather. A low slung sofa suits the horizontal calm of the room. Chocolate trim is the confident choice. Cream trim is the easy one, and it works.
