Aegean Key is a greek key wallpaper in navy on cream linen, crisp bands of the classical meander running level across the wall with a row of small navy diamonds between each one. It brings the order of a temple frieze to a room and makes it look easy.

The design

Each band is a continuous key that turns and returns the whole width of the wall without a break, and the diamonds between the bands keep the eye moving. The cream ground carries a soft linen grain so the navy sits on cloth rather than paper. From the doorway it is a bold blue and white stripe. Up close it is pure geometry.

Works best in

Libraries, kitchens, media rooms and kids rooms with a preppy streak. It gives a coastal room its backbone and a formal room its wit.

Style notes

White oak, polished nickel and rattan keep it Hamptons. Mahogany and brass make it Georgian. Trim in a deep navy anchors the bands, while a bright white trim keeps the room airy. Add a cane chair, a blue and white lamp and one piece of coral red. It loves symmetry.

Order with confidence

Aegean Key is an original WALLPLICITY design, engineered as a seamless repeat so every band runs unbroken from corner to corner, in peel and stick or traditional wallpaper. Samples available.
