The saloon finally got a decorator. Gilded Rodeo winds horseshoes through gilded damask detail in deep black and warm gold: western iconography dressed up in Victorian finery, moody and luxe in equal measure. Somewhere between a ranch and an opera box, and better for it.

The design

Horseshoes wound through ornate gilded damask scrollwork in deep black and warm gold. Western iconography, Victorian execution, full evening palette. Gold on black keeps the drama legible, with the horseshoes reading clearly even across a dim room. Up close, the damask detail turns out to be doing most of the labor. Nightfall suits it best, as nightfall suits most outlaws.

Works best in

Bedrooms, dining rooms, entryways, and powder rooms with a little outlaw in the bloodline.

Style notes

Western swagger raised on Victorian manners, at home in saloons and salons alike. Tooled leather, deep-stained walnut, iron hardware, and a decanter with strong opinions all fit the brief. In a dining room it makes steak night feel historic, and in an entryway it warns arriving guests the house has range. The dress code is boots and black tie, simultaneously.
