Bramble Rose is a toile wallpaper of wild roses and briar leaves in cream on a warm tan linen ground. It has the easy warmth of a print found folded in a farmhouse chest and hung the same afternoon.

The design

Single roses with open centres climb through thorny stems and loose leaves, all painted in cream against the tan so the pattern reads as light on dark. The linen weave shows through the ground and gives the wall a woven softness. Warm light makes the tan glow like honey. The roses climb in a loose diagonal so the eye keeps moving and never finds a grid.

Works best in

Living rooms, bedrooms, dining rooms and hallways. It warms a north facing room and calms a busy one.

Style notes

Dark oak, worn leather and aged brass sit naturally against it. Trim in a soft stone or a warm cream keeps the whole wall mellow. Add a tartan throw, a jute rug and a stack of old books. Avoid cool greys, they make the tan look tired.

Order with confidence

Bramble Rose is an original WALLPLICITY design, engineered to repeat seamlessly so the briar never breaks, in peel and stick or traditional wallpaper. Samples available.
