The design

Black dash marks, each shaped like a single quick stroke, scattered across a soft white ground. Minimal, organic, and crisp. The dashes sit sharp against the white while the ground stays wide open, so the wall keeps its light even as it gains interest. From a distance the marks blur into an even weather of flecks, and up close each one shows its own taper and swell. It reads equally well at breakfast brightness and lamp-lit ten o'clock.
