Every great pattern has a silhouette you remember. Cobalt Lantern hangs rows of brushed ogee lanterns in saturated cobalt on aged parchment, classic blue and white with more paint on the brush.

The design

Large lantern medallions in cobalt sapphire alternate with slim teardrop chains on a parchment ground, painted with a dry brushed edge. Each lantern stands about a foot tall. One even 24 by 24 inch repeat.

Works best in

Dining rooms, living rooms, bedrooms, entryways, and powder rooms.

Style notes

Vintage eclectic in delft blue. Pair it with dark walnut, aged brass, blue and white ceramics, and crisp white trim. It carries the blue-and-white tradition without a single willow tree. Sunlight makes the cobalt sing.
