The design

Watercolor eucalyptus stems in soft muted greens on a bright white ground. Airy spacing and hand-painted edges keep the botanical light and open. The white ground carries most of the light, and the leaves rest on it rather than press into it. At a distance the stems blur into a soft green haze, while up close each brushmark keeps its edge. North-facing rooms borrow real brightness from it.
