Some patterns are woven long before they are printed. Indigo Ikat carries the soft blurred diamonds of a handwoven textile in slate blue and cream, relaxed, worldly, and easy to live with.

The design

Large ikat diamond medallions in slate blue stack in soft rows on a cream ground, edges feathered the way dyed threads blur on a loom. Each medallion stands about a foot tall. One even 24 by 24 inch repeat.

Works best in

Living rooms, bedrooms, home offices, and entryways.

Style notes

Relaxed global. Pair it with warm oak, brushed nickel, jute, leather in saddle tan, and plenty of white. It brings the ease of a collected textile to a whole wall and warms up modern furniture instantly.
