Ink Ikat is a black and white diamond ikat wallpaper, a lattice of charcoal bands around inky black diamonds on a clean white ground. It gives a dining room or kitchen a graphic pattern with the softness of woven cloth.

The design

Charcoal bands cross in a trellis, each cell holding a black diamond with a small white point at its centre, and every edge carries the feathered bleed of ikat dyeing so the black never looks hard. From a distance it reads as a bold monochrome lattice. Close up the bleed gives it warmth. Daylight keeps it crisp. Lamplight softens the charcoal to smoke.

Works best in

Dining rooms, kitchens, bedrooms and breakfast banquettes. Black and white goes with every colour you bring to the table, which is the point of a dining room.

Style notes

Pale oak, black steel and natural linen are the partners. White trim is the graphic choice, and a black trim makes the room a gallery. Add a cane chair, a brass pendant and one ochre cushion. Keep the greys out, the pattern is doing the contrast.

Order with confidence

Ink Ikat is an original WALLPLICITY design, engineered to repeat seamlessly around the room, in peel and stick or traditional wallpaper. Samples available.
