The design

Interlocking damask scrolls in deep ink blue rise through a shadowed ground. The pattern reads as tone on tone from across the room and reveals its detail up close. One even 24 by 24 inch repeat.

Dining rooms, home offices, bedrooms, entryways, and powder rooms.

Style notes

Navy traditional with real depth. Pair it with dark walnut, aged brass, camel leather, and wool in oatmeal. White trim sharpens it. Dark trim dissolves the edges and makes the room feel taller. Brass lamplight is its best friend.
