The design

Cream Moroccan scrollwork repeating over a rich terracotta ground: ornamental curves with warm contrast and an even, tile-like rhythm. Heat comes from the terracotta ground, order from the cream scrolls, and the balance holds from the doorway to the last step in. As evening comes on, the contrast softens and the wall takes on a lantern warmth. The tile-like rhythm keeps the ornament grounded, so richness never slides into clutter.
