Some walls should look like they have a past. Mauve Relic layers weathered damask emblems in dusty mauve over smoked charcoal, romantic at a distance and moody up close.

The design

Large damask emblems in faded mauve pink emerge through a mottled charcoal ground, worn back in places as if by decades. Each emblem stands about a foot tall. One even 24 by 24 inch repeat.

Works best in

Bedrooms, powder rooms, entryways, home offices, and dining rooms.

Style notes

Aged romance. Pair it with dark wood, aged brass, dried florals, and linen in blush or bone. It softens industrial pieces and gives bedrooms a faded-grandeur mood without a single ruffle.
