Oxblood Pagoda runs our misty mountain landscape in deep lacquer red, the color of old libraries and serious dining rooms. A chinoiserie landscape wallpaper in burgundy, rust brown and rose-tinted cloud, it wraps a room in warmth the way a good red wine does a winter evening.

The design

Peaks in oxblood and umber rise through banks of pink-gray cloud, and pavilions with curved eaves perch on the ridges beside clusters of dark pines. The reds run from near black in the shadowed slopes to a soft blush where the mist catches light, so the scene has real distance. From across the room the wall reads as a rich, atmospheric red with the drama of a storm rolling in. Up close the tiny rooftops, trees and the roofline of a hidden village keep pulling you back for another look.

Works best in

Dining rooms, home offices, powder rooms, living rooms and dens.

Style notes

The bold heritage colorway. Pair it with mahogany, aged brass, leather, and cream. Candlelight deepens it to burgundy, daylight lifts the clouds. A dining room in this color makes every meal feel like an occasion.

Order with confidence

We designed Oxblood Pagoda in house and built the repeat to be seamless, so the mountains and mist flow across every panel. Peel and stick or traditional wallpaper, whichever the room calls for. Samples available, and reds this deep should be met in your own room before they move in.
