The design

Lush baroque vines and hand-drawn blossoms in teal, coral, and magenta over a warm cream ground, densely detailed so the pattern rewards both the glance and the lean-in. The coral and magenta blooms come forward first, with the teal vines threading depth behind them. At a distance the wall reads as a rich tapestry, and up close the hand-drawn line reveals itself in every petal. The cream ground keeps all that saturation clear of gloom, even at dusk.

Style notes

Baroque exuberance filtered through a chinoiserie sensibility, which is to say maximalism with manners. Give it aged brass, dark mahogany, teal velvet on at least one chair, and trim in warm ivory.
