The design

Large white damask florals with scrolling leaves on an elegant gray ground: a classic ornamental repeat rendered in cool, quiet neutrals. The white blooms carry the pattern forward while the gray ground pulls everything a step back into calm. At distance the wall reads as pale tone-on-tone, and the pattern sharpens into full ornament as guests come close enough to compliment it. Soft morning light nearly erases it, and by evening the blooms return with the candles.

Style notes

Classical old-world decoration, translated into modern neutrals. It sets a fine table beside silver-toned metals, marble, charcoal wool, and mahogany or painted-white furniture alike.
