The design
Watercolor surfboards standing in rows, each patterned with waves, palms, fish, turtles, and tropical flowers. Bright coastal blues, corals, and yellows on a light ground. Each board carries its own small pattern, so the wall keeps offering new details long after move-in day. From across the room the lineup reads as bright vertical rhythm, and the watercolor softness keeps all that color from crowding the bunks.

Style notes
Surf culture filtered through a watercolor kit. It pairs with weathered pine, canvas, rope handles, and bedding in one of the board colors, picked by committee. Navy accents keep it salty, yellow keeps it summer. In a bunk room it ends the top-bunk negotiations, and in a beach bathroom it holds the season open year-round.
