The design

Soft overlapping feathers in deep blues, building a dense, layered plume effect. Flowing movement over a moody ground. The paler feather edges catch the eye first, then pass it down into the deeper blues beneath, which is where the depth comes from. Across a room the wall reads as moving water, and up close it separates into individual plumes. Lamplight makes the layers smolder, while daylight cools them toward slate.
