Its name isn't hedging. Opulence is a moody dark floral wallpaper that stacks jewel-toned peonies in saturated pink, orange, and teal against rich black, a floral with the glow of stained glass. It's the wall you build a dinner party around, then take credit for. Maximalism, edited.

The design

Jewel-tone peonies in pink, orange, and teal on a rich black ground, saturated blooms with vintage weight and luxurious contrast. The pink and orange blooms burn brightest against the black, with teal cooling the arrangement so it never tips into noise. From afar it is all glow, and up close it is all vintage weight, petal by petal. After dark the ground disappears entirely and the flowers seem to float on nothing, which suits them.

Style notes
