The design

Giraffe portraits in feathered navy top hats, patterned in gold and tan over deep blue charcoal. Rich detail, stately scale. The gold patterning glows against the deep blue-charcoal, so each giraffe rises out of the dark like a portrait under picture lights. Height is both the joke and the composition, drawing the eye upward and taking the ceiling with it. Lamplight favors the gold, daylight favors the blue, and the hat stays impeccable either way.
