The design

An all-over woodland botanical on a near-black ground, with layered fungi, ferns, and trailing stems. Large repeat with rich mid-tone detail, so walls read as texture from across the room and reward a closer look. The amber caps carry the light while the ferns and stems sink back toward the near-black ground, layering the wall front to back. Seen from the hallway it reads as a dark botanical field, and at arm's length the illustration work takes over. Dim light suits it best, which is rare and useful.

Powder rooms, studies, bedroom accent walls, moody entryways, and anywhere you'd rather embrace low light than fight it.

Style notes

Fairy-tale woodland with the rigor of a field guide, and our founding argument for dark rooms. Give it russet leather, antique bronze, smoke-dark oak, and trim in deepest green if you want the walls to continue past their edges. In a powder room it performs, and in a study it settles in for the long term. Low light was never the problem, plain walls were.
