Field guide by day, fairy tale by dusk. Moth & Mushroom floats detailed moths, fungi, and wildflowers across warm cream, drawn in a vintage hand that sits neatly between whimsical and scholarly. It's cottagecore that a grown-up room can live with: earthy, easy, quietly odd.

The design

Finely illustrated moths, mushrooms, and wildflowers scattered over a warm cream ground. Vintage botanical styling with an even, easygoing repeat. The cream ground carries most of the light, so the scattered motifs read as embroidery rather than clutter. Step back and the wall settles into a soft, even field, then the moths reappear one by one as you approach. Terracotta and umber notes keep the palette warm right through the evening.

Works best in

Woodland nurseries, kitchen pantries, reading corners, offices with a witchy streak, and hallways that collect compliments.

Style notes

The lineage is field-guide illustration with a folk-art heart, scholarly but never stiff. It likes waxed pine, worn brass, clay pots, and linen in oatmeal or rust. In an entryway it makes arrivals feel gentler, and in a powder room the close quarters turn every visit into a short nature walk. Folklore is optional, but the wall clearly knows some.
