Somewhere in a peach-pink studio, a corps de ballet of puppies is mid-pirouette and taking it very seriously. Puppy Ballet gives a nursery or playroom its own recital: animated little dancers on a soft blush ground, calm enough for nap time, funny enough that grown-ups keep finding new favorites.
The design
Twirling ballerina dogs scattered across a soft peach-pink ground, drawn with expressive poses and gentle pastel color. Playful movement in every repeat, kept quiet by the muted palette. The blush ground absorbs most of the drama, so from a distance the wall reads as a soft peach wash with a faint flutter of movement. Up close the poses reveal themselves one arabesque at a time. Under a dim lamp the pastels settle almost to neutral, which is exactly what bedtime requires.
Works best in
