Stripes with a garden upbringing. Cottage Stripe sets wide sage-green panels between crisp cream and blue lines, pulling ceilings upward while keeping everything pastoral at heart. It's tidy the way a well-kept kitchen garden is tidy: ordered, but clearly loved.
The design
Wide sage-green vertical panels framed by slim cream and blue stripes. Clean tailored layout in a soft countryside palette. The cream lines advance crisply while the sage settles into a calm middle distance, so the wall reads striped from afar and softly tonal up close. The blue lines are nearly subliminal until you stand near, the sort of detail guests discover on a second visit. Full daylight makes it fresh, and evening turns the sage toward eucalyptus.
Works best in
Entryways, dining rooms, bedrooms, powder rooms, and mudrooms that see a lot of boots.
Style notes
Garden-party formalwear, English by instinct. Pair it with white painted trim, scrubbed pine, wicker, and florals small enough to defer to the stripe. Entryways and dining rooms use its vertical lift to stand a little straighter, while mudrooms and powder rooms get order that survives actual life. Tidy, but never stern about it.
