An unexpected pairing that turns out to be an old friendship. Thistle Stripe runs vertical bands of lavender, soft white, and deep sage green: playful in color, preppy in posture. Walls stand taller, rooms feel brighter, and the purple earns its place within the week.
The design
Vertical stripes in lavender, soft white, and deep green at tailored widths. Crisp banding in a fresh, cottage-leaning palette. The deep green bands set the pace while the lavender brightens between them, and the white keeps the whole arrangement freshly laundered. From a distance the colors calm each other into a garden-at-dusk balance that reads far quieter than the ingredients suggest.
Works best in
Kids' rooms, teen bedrooms, laundry rooms, guest baths, and window seats built for eavesdropping on the garden.
Style notes
Preppy stripe structure with a cottage-garden palette. It befriends white beadboard, waxed pine, wicker hampers, and bedding in white with green piping. Sage trim roots it, lavender accents let it bloom, and white keeps the whole scheme rinsed clean.
