Gingham and daisies have been flirting for decades; here they finally commit. Picnic Daisy sets navy and sky-blue blooms into a white-and-baby-blue checkered grid, equal parts picnic blanket and print shop. Tidy, sunny, and nearly impossible to be grumpy around.

The design

Navy and sky-blue daisies repeating inside a crisp white and baby-blue checkerboard: a graphic retro floral with an orderly grid and a light heart. The navy petals hold the grid from across the room, while the baby-blue checks dissolve into a soft haze of background cheer. Up close the daisies show a graphic, poster-like charm. Sun makes it crisper, cloud cover makes it cozier, and it never looks tired either way.

Works best in

Style notes

Retro kitchen optimism, mid-century by birth certificate. Pair it with white enamel, butcher block, red or yellow accents, and cotton stripes that do not take themselves seriously.
