The design

Whimsical toadstools and dark forest foliage in a vintage botanical style, with cozy layering and warm shadowed tones. The warm caps and golden undertones surface first against the shadowed greens, so the wall glows rather than darkens. At a distance it settles into rich pattern, and up close the toadstools turn out to have personalities. Lamplight is its natural habitat.

Works best in

Style notes

Storybook naturalism with a straight academic streak. It keeps company with aged oak, dark iron, and ochre or mustard accents in wool.
