After midnight, the forest floor gets glamorous. Golden Cap sprouts dotted golden mushrooms among delicate flowers and leaves on deep navy, a fairy-tale scene handled with grown-up polish. It is whimsical the way good children's books are: sincerely, and with excellent illustration.

The design

Golden dotted-cap mushrooms with small blooms and foliage scattered over a deep navy ground: a magical woodland motif drawn with fine storybook detail. Navy sets the hour at just past midnight, and the golden caps supply the light. From afar the pattern reads as scattered brightness, then resolves into careful illustration as you close in. The dimmer the room runs, the more the gold caps appear genuinely lit.
