The design

Intricate black-and-white moths, ferns, mushrooms, and forest plants on a deep charcoal ground. A dense, immersive repeat with fine scientific-illustration detail. At distance the charcoal swallows the detail and the wall reads as a rich, even dark. Step closer and the moths surface one at a time, like specimens coming into focus under glass. Lamplight picks out the white linework first, so the pattern seems to sharpen as the room dims.
