Under this canopy it is permanently dusk. Velvet Cap sends beige and teal mushrooms up through a black ground like a woodland floor lit by a single low lantern: strange in the best way, and thoroughly excellent company after dark.

The design

Vintage-styled fungi in beige and teal scattered across a deep black ground, drawn with enough botanical detail to read as natural curiosity rather than novelty. The black ground swallows the edges so the caps appear to float, beige glowing forward while the teal cools the spaces between. Across a dim room it reads like a scattered constellation, and up close it turns into a naturalist's notebook. By lamplight the caps brighten first while the teal keeps its cool.

Works best in

Dining rooms, studies, bedroom accent walls, and powder rooms that enjoy a plot twist.

Style notes
