Dress code: walls. Black Tie Deco is an Art Deco chevron wallpaper that stacks layered chevrons in deep black and metallic line, sending strong vertical energy up narrow hallways and tall ceilings alike. It is the speakeasy effect. A wall that lowers its voice and makes everything near it feel like an occasion.
The design
Layered chevron geometry in deep black with fine metallic linework, repeating in a vertical rhythm. High contrast, sharp angles, unmistakably Deco. The metallic lines catch whatever light the room offers and hand it back in angles. From a distance the chevrons stack into columns that pull the ceiling taller, and up close the linework is sharp as a lapel. It does its best after sunset, unsurprisingly, once the lamps get involved.
Works best in
Dining rooms, entryways, powder rooms, bar corners, and hallways that dress for dinner.
Style notes
Gatsby era geometry that still knows the dress code. It belongs with marble, polished nickel, mirrored trays, and velvet in black or emerald.
