The design

A vintage Art Deco trellis in metallic gold tones on a black ground, all sharp geometry and repeating symmetry. Bold enough to carry a room; ordered enough to calm it. The gold sits bright on the black, so the trellis reads from across the room like lit architecture. Up close the geometry turns watchmaker exact, every junction squared and certain. Evening is when it truly earns the name, with lamplight running gold along every line.

Style notes

Straight-line Deco descent, poured neat over ice. It calls for black lacquer, smoked glass, and marble shot with dark veining. The era may be long gone, but the room politely and firmly disagrees.
