Sage-green peacocks fanning their tails have the unbothered air of a hotel lobby that's seen everything. Sage Plume reads elegant rather than childish (botanical color, Deco structure), so it moves easily from nursery to dining room without changing its posture.
The design
Peacocks with full fanned tails stylized into Art Deco shapes, rendered in muted sage green on a soft ground. Organic subject, geometric discipline. The fanned tails carry the pattern's structure, reading from across the room as arched, rhythmic scallops. The sage sits softly against the pale ground, so the drama lives in the drawing rather than the contrast. Evening light burnishes the green toward olive and makes the geometry feel gilded even without gold.
Works best in
Dining rooms, bedrooms, nurseries, powder rooms, and hallways with quiet plumage.
Style notes
Art Deco with feathers, minus the noise. It favors walnut and cane, seafoam or ivory velvet, and metals in soft brass or nickel. Pale trim keeps things composed, and a dark green door nearby gives the peacocks somewhere to strut toward. A dining room gains ceremony, and a powder room gains the plumage guests remember.
