The design

Overlapping large-scale arches and column forms in charcoal and cool grey. Mural-like proportions with crisp edges, built to carry a wall on its own. The charcoal forms hold the front of the composition while the cool grey layers slide behind them, which is what gives one flat wall its sense of depth. Distance makes it architecture, proximity makes it drawing, and daylight moves the shadows around like a slow sundial.

Style notes
