Brutalist is a black mid-century geometric wallpaper that stretches elongated black arches over a stone-textured ground, retro in shape and unapologetically architectural in attitude. It is the pattern equivalent of a good monolith: quiet, heavy, impossible to ignore, and surprisingly easy to live with.

The design

Elongated arch forms in deep black over a concrete-inspired texture. Flat, monolithic shapes set in a moody, architectural mid-century rhythm. The black arches dominate at any distance while the stony ground supplies the quiet between them. Far away the wall reads as pure architecture, and up close the mineral mottling gives the shapes something to stand on. Daylight keeps it austere, and low lamplight turns the arches into doorways to somewhere unstated.
