The design

Faux wood slats in warm rattan brown, rendered in a slim vertical repeat with realistic grain and shadow. Reads as fluted paneling from across the room. The warm brown holds the middle distance while the slim shadow lines between slats give the wall its depth. From across the room the verticals read as true millwork, and up close the tone varies just enough to feel organic. Morning light stripes it gently, and by lamplight the whole wall goes honeyed.
