Picture the striped awning of a very good chocolate shop, then bring it indoors. Chocolate Scallop runs warm cocoa and terracotta bands up the wall, each edge softened into a scallop, so the room reads cozy and slightly deco at once: height without severity, sweetness without sugar.
The design
Vertical scalloped stripes in chocolate brown and terracotta, alternating in wide, even bands. The curved edges add gentle movement while the earthy palette keeps everything grounded. The terracotta bands sit forward while the cocoa recedes, so the wall gains height in a gentle upward pulse. From across the room the scallops read as soft columns, and closer in the curved edges loosen the climb, more ribbon than ruler. Afternoon light warms both browns toward caramel, which is exactly the point.
Works best in
Family rooms, kids' bedrooms, snug powder rooms, breakfast nooks, and accent walls that pair well with rattan and a second helping.
Style notes
Patisserie deco, equal parts awning and eclair. Rattan, caned oak, soft wool in cream, and aged brass all belong beside it. Snug powder rooms and breakfast nooks enjoy the cocoon effect, while a kids' bedroom gets sweetness that will still look smart at sixteen. Paint the trim cream and accept the compliments.
