Sweetness, with structure underneath. Daisy Darling hand-draws its blooms into alternating pink and white squares, black and blush petals keeping the checkerboard from getting too polite. It is the diner booth of wallpapers: retro, friendly, and permanently in a good mood.

The design

Hand-drawn daisies with black and blush petals filling a pink-and-white checkerboard grid: a playful retro floral with graphic charm and soft color. The checkerboard registers first from a distance, and the daisies resolve as you step closer, so the wall tells its joke in two stages. Black petal accents keep all that pink from going syrupy, sharpening the grid like eyeliner. In bright light the squares lift, and under warm bulbs the blush deepens toward rose.

Style notes

Sixties soda-fountain cheer, drawn by hand and entirely sincere. It plays well with white enamel, chrome stools, gingham, and cherry-red accents. In a kitchen it makes breakfast feel like an occasion, and in a kids' bathroom it turns toothbrushing into less of a negotiation. Optimism, applied one square at a time.
