Blooms in worn indigo layer over an inky ground, as if a garden had been printed on your oldest, best jeans. Denim Garden reads painterly and moody up close, sophisticated from a distance: vintage in feeling, modern in effect, and very good behind a bed.
The design
Painterly florals in dark faux-denim blues layered over a deep inky ground. Rich tonal blues with soft, brushy edges and quiet drama. The blues stack in layers, paler blooms floating over inky depth, so the wall moves like water at dusk. Brushy edges blur the repeat into something closer to a painting, and at night the garden pools quietly into shadow. Distance smooths everything into sophistication, exactly as advertised.
Works best in
Bedrooms, dining rooms, living rooms, small bathrooms, and focal walls with a taste for indigo.
Style notes
Painterly indigo romance with its collar undone. It favors teak, worn brass, and bedding in white or oatmeal to give the blues something to glow against. Behind a bed it does its best work, holding the room's drama at headboard height. A small bathroom borrows the depth and suddenly has somewhere to look.
