A stripe is only as good as its edge. Dove Ribbon runs wide bands of silver dove gray down a warm cream ground, each band finished with a softly pinked edge, like ribbon snipped with pinking shears.

The design

Wide vertical stripes in dove gray alternate with cream, each stripe about four and a half inches across with a gently zigzagged edge and a soft washed fill. One even 24 by 24 inch repeat, twelve stripes per 8 feet of wall.

Works best in

Bedrooms, nurseries done in gray, entryways, living rooms, and powder rooms.

Style notes

Relaxed classic with a sewing-room soul. Pair it with white oak, painted furniture, linen in white or oat, and woven baskets. The pinked edge softens the formality a straight stripe carries, so it works in both dressed-up and easy rooms.
